Dr. Lee Cheng-Hsiung: Learn to Live and Live to Learn
ARLINGTON, VA, USA, July 11, 2017 /EINPresswire.com/ — On 24 June 2017, the University of Management and Technology (UMT) held its 2017 Commencement Ceremony at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theater in Arlington, VA. Among UMT celebrated 1,119 graduates, there was a self-described “77-year old teenager”, Dr. Lee Cheng-Hsiung. Dr. Lee is an experienced rubber parts manufacturer and President of LeeKuma Inc. He is also the President of Taiwan Lifeline International, and Charter President of Rotary Club of Yuanlin South in Taiwan.
Dr. Lee Cheng-Hsiung traveled from Taiwan to attend graduation with his daughter, and shared his life philosophy and secret for success. He strives to always be happy and to contribute to the community. His devotion to charity and society is demonstrated by his active role in two non-profit organizations. He also believes people should never retire, and instead should “learn to live and live to learn.”
In today’s professional market, Dr. Lee’s commitment to learning is an essential attitude for professional improvement and success. “With global competition and rapidly changing technology, lifelong learning is a necessity. Successful professionals need to continually update their skills and knowledge or they risk falling behind.” says Dr. J. Davidson Frame, Academic Dean, UMT. As an online university, UMT strives to meet that need by providing convenient online courses and relevant distance education programs to working professionals.
Dr. Lee's long-term commitment to learning was celebrated at this year’s commencement ceremony, as he received a Doctor of Business Administration degree. This degree is not his last academic or professional achievement. He says retirement is not an option for him, adding that “this UMT DBA degree makes me happier, younger, and eager to accomplish more.”
