We are talking about making history at the Olympic Training Center, where MMA isn't yet recognized as an Olympic Sport.”

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO, USA, April 5, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – April 4, 2018 – Primal Fight League, a mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion headquartered in Littleton, CO, has announced the next in its series of 2018 matches. Dubbed Hostile Takeover, this event will take place on Saturday April 28th at the legendary U.S. Olympic Training Facility (OTC), a 35-acre complex that has been completely renovated into one of the most advanced athletic facilities in the world. Hostile Takeover will feature up to 30 fighters battling it out for glory in the cage. Tickets for this all ages event start at just $30, available now at www.primalfightleague.com.

Danny O’Connor, President of Primal Fight League, had this to say about the event:

“We’re excited and honored to present the first hometown event for Primal Fight League. The enthusiasm for our events in Oklahoma City have been incredible, and we cannot wait to share this excitement with the fighters and fans of Colorado. And to have the opportunity to do all this in such an iconic venue is a special privilege.”

Primal Fight League will be the first Colorado MMA promotion permitted to invite elite up-and-coming MMA athletes to the hallowed ground at the OTC. And making this event even more historical, Hostile Takeover will feature a female main event in Veronica Graves vs. Kathryn Paprocki. Not yet common at any level of MMA, Primal Fight League is looking to break through barriers in the sport of MMA with this female main event, which is being presented by the local Toyota Dealers of Colorado Springs.

“We’re proud to offer a female main event to the Colorado MMA community,” said Priscilla O’Connor, Co-Owner and Director of Business Development for Primal Fight League. “We’re striving to make Hostile Takeover the most impressive MMA event Colorado Springs has ever seen, and we know that this venue and this unique female main event will greatly enhance the experience for our fans.”

Women in MMA is still relatively new to the mainstream media. With the first ever female fight in the United States taking place in 1997, female fighters didn't headline a major promotion until UFC 157 in 2013 with Rousey vs Carmouche. The first ever female main event in Colorado took place just under a year later, with less than a handful of female main events since. Main Event fighters, Veronica Graves from High Altitude Martial Arts and Kathryn Paprocki from DCOMMA, look to cement their names in MMA history books and are sure to be battle worthy of the iconic venue in which it takes place. With an action packed fight card, Primal Fight League is honored to make history bringing MMA to the OTC.

Primal Fight League VP of Operations and Matchmaker Vern Earwood shared his thoughts on the significance of the event: “We're not simply talking about a mixed martial arts event taking place. We are talking about making history at the Olympic Training Center, where MMA isn't yet recognized as an Olympic Sport. We have two of the top amateur female fighters in Colorado headlining this epic night of fights, a title fight between two of the top talents in amateur MMA and a fight card with non-stop action from the opening fight.”

Primal Fight League has managed to secure coveted sponsorships from four branches of the United States Military, who will all have a strong presence at Hostile Takeover, proving yet again Primal Fight League’s love for military personnel and veterans who serve our country. Primal Fight League donates a significant amount of tickets to the VetTix foundation, who ensures veterans from all branches have a chance to enjoy an entertaining night out.

Primal Fight League’s Hostile Takeover is presented by Larry H. Miller Toyota of Colorado Springs and Larry H. Miller Liberty Toyota, with additional support from Pikes Peak Harley-Davidson. These partnerships support both Primal Fight League and local Colorado MMA talent, benefitting the entire MMA community with increased exposure and opportunities for fighters.
