CPI solidifies presence in aerospace vertical with purchase of MIT workforce solutions.
WATERFORD, MICHIGAN, USA, August 24, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — A service disabled veteran owned global workforce solutions company with a mission to put military veterans to work, Contract Professionals, Inc. (CPI) recently acquired the workforce solutions arm of Lake Orion, Michigan based Manufacturing & Industrial Technologies Inc. (MIT).
Part of a strategic growth plan, the acquisition of the workforce solutions arm of MIT is just the beginning for CPI. “I came to CPI for the express purpose of growing the company,” said Jim Cowper, President, CPI. “The acquisition of MIT is part of my overall plan to create a larger national footprint for CPI, by establishing a more substantial presence in our target aerospace and defense verticals.”
Based in Green Bay Wisconsin, John Simmons, Director of Business Development, CPI has been tapped to oversee the development of CPI’s newly acquired client base. “The acquisition of MIT gives us an opportunity to expand our service offerings, and thereby create a greater value for our job seeking candidates including out-processing military personnel and veterans.”
Part of the MIT acquisition also included an agreement that one of MIT’s most valuable employees, Shelly Husek, would join the CPI team. Ms. Husek brings more than 20 years of human resource and human capital management experience to CPI.
