OST Global Solutions To Help Train Small Businesses for Maryland Technology Development Corp's New U.S. SBA Grant

OST GLOBAL SOLUTIONS

Will Help Women-Owned, Disadvantaged, Rural Companies in Federal R&D Contracts Market

Our GovCon Incubator is all about giving voice to small businesses where it comes to winning government contracts, and the SBIR Proposal Lab is in line with our mission.”

— Olessia Smotrova

ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — The GovCon Incubator of OST Global Solutions, Inc. (OST), a woman-owned small business, will help small businesses win government seed capital through a new U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Federal and State Technology (FAST) grant won by the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO). The other grant team members are the Maryland Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and the Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center (ESEC).

The SBA grant will fund an innovative SBIR Proposal Lab as part of the SBA’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. SBIR is a highly competitive government program that provides seed funding to small businesses to develop innovative technologies that have the potential for commercialization. The SBIR award program is funded at more than $2 billion annually.

Providing a special focus on women-owned, disadvantaged, and rural small businesses, the new SBIR Proposal Lab’s ultimate goal is to improve proposal quality and submission rates for government contracts while building long-term capacity to win government and commercial bids.

The SBIR Proposal Lab’s goal is to at least double the success rate of the SBIR applications (from the 16 percent national average to 32 percent) through an innovative alternative to funding training workshops and providing proposal consulting as stand-alone initiatives.

The SBIR Proposal Lab combines SBA’s tutorials, best-in-industry proposal training, mentoring, proposal reviews, and hands-on guidance throughout the process of developing and submitting NOAA and DOD SBIR proposals.
A cohort of as many as 30 companies will be selected to participate in the SBIR Proposal Lab from the SBIR solicitation issuance through proposal submission.

Team TEDCO will conduct workshops simultaneously from two locations (Rockville and Salisbury, MD) using communications technology and connecting participants via a series of portals. The SBIR Proposal Lab will culminate in the cohort’s proposal submissions and subsequent advisory services for awardees.

The Lab will not only help companies succeed in obtaining SBIR dollars but also help create a government proposal development skillset that will transform their small businesses in the long term.

“Sharply Focused” on Women-Owned, Disadvantaged and Rural Businesses

“The TEDCO SBIR Proposal Lab focuses on women-owned, disadvantaged, and rural businesses that have not previously won an SBIR,” said Ronald W. Kaese, TEDCO’s Director, Federal Programs. “This fits very well with what TEDCO is doing with its Pre-Seed Builder Fund for women-owned and disadvantaged businesses and the Rural Business Pre-Seed Fund.”

“Our GovCon Incubator is all about giving voice to small businesses where it comes to winning government contracts, and the SBIR Proposal Lab is in line with our mission – and sharply focused on disadvantaged businesses that normally don’t get as many chances to play in the R&D arena,” explained Olessia Smotrova, President and CEO of OST Global Solutions, Inc.

For more information on the new SBIR Proposal Lab and to participate, please visit this page.

About Team TEDCO
TEDCO provides resources and connections that early-stage technology and life sciences companies need to thrive in Maryland. TEDCO’s mission is to discover, invest in, and help build great companies. The GovCon Incubator, run by OST Global Solutions, Inc. (OST), a Maryland woman-owned small business (WOSB). OST Global Solutions is a thought leader in government business development, specialized in winning highly competitive proposals and offering 50+ courses in every aspect of capture and proposal development. Jews to Protest IDF fundraiser in Toronto – Today

Orthodox Jews will be demonstrating today, October 11, outside the Toronto Center of Art, 5040 Yonge Street, Toronto, at 6 PM.

TORONTO, CANADA, October 11, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Orthodox Jews from the anti-Zionist Jewish community of Canada will be demonstrating today, October 11, outside the Toronto Center of Art, 5040 Yonge Street, Toronto, at 6 PM.

The group will be conveying the message that the Israeli Defense Force [IDF] is not in favor of the Jewish people.

“The IDF is a destructive force to the Jewish people and to the Jewish nation”, Said Rabbi Aron Jacobowitz, a spokesman for the demonstration.

"We will be bringing to the attention of the attendees that Judaism and Zionism, the Jewish people and the State of Israel, are not one and the same, in fact they are diametrically opposed.

"Judaism is a religion of serving the Almighty, while Zionism is a political movement of nationalism. For centuries Jewish people lived in the Holy Land with the only goal of practicing their religion and living in total peace with their neighbors.

"In fact, according to Jewish belief, Jews are in a Divinely decreed exile and are forbidden to create their own State or to provoke against nations. We are forbidden to wage wars against any nation or to shed blood.

"In addition to all it has done to other nations, which is in total violation of Judaism and opposed by masses of Jews worldwide, the State of Israel recently attempts to force religious Jewish youths to physically take part in all its criminal acts and to assimilate them into the Zionist secular society. Whoever refuses to join them, or stands up to protest, are brutalized, harassed and imprisoned.

"By attempting to force our communities to serve in the IDF, the Israeli government is trampling on our religious rights. By oppressing non-violent protestors, they are trampling on our freedom of speech.

"When the state of Israel professes to act in the name of the Jewish people, it is exacerbating anti-Semitism, causing harm, hate and conflict amongst so many Peoples.

"This is one more link in the long chain of systematically uprooting our religion. They did so originally with the Jews of Yemen, Tunisia, and the rest of the Middle East and now they attempt to do so with the remnants of the God-fearing communities in the Holy Land.

"It is criminal when these people call themselves Jewish, supposedly representing the entire Jewish people and it is hypocritical when they misuse the Jewish religion for their benefit. They do this all to mislead good hearted philanthropists, into supporting their movement. Also to stifle opposition, who are fearful of being accused of anti-Semitism "

NCCET with GDA extends its $600MM Tuition-Free Workforce Development training to 10/31/18

Eric Richardson, CEO Growth Development Associates

NCCET in partnership with GDA and ProTrain

Workforce development training is vitally important as the "skills gap" in the United States today is becoming an epidemic.

“The Consultative Sales process is not used just to win sales but is the communications enabler for every business interaction.” ”

— Eric Richardson, CEO of GDA

NAPLES, FLORIDA, UNITED STATES, October 9, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — With 5.6 million jobs open in the United States and 8.7 million people available to work, people need something that will help them distinguish themselves from the crowd. The National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET), in collaboration with its premier sustaining partner, Growth Development Associates (GDA), has extended the two tuition-free online Workforce Development courses for up to one million students, alumni and professionals to October 31. 2018. Workforce development training is vitally important as the “skills gap” in the United States today is becoming an epidemic.

The Workplace Communication online course allows students to build the core critical skills such as: communication, teamwork, problem solving, accountability, and collaboration. Focusing on the essential engagement skills will address that skills gap employers are facing today. Consultative Selling provides students with the skills to fill the largest open job market in the United States. Any industry in the country needs sales people to help meet any organization bottom line result. Eric Richardson, CEO, GDA states “The Consultative Sales process is not used just to win sales but is the communications enabler for every business interaction.”
Baby Boomers are retiring at a higher rate than ever before. These vacated jobs are staying open because people do not have the skills necessary to fill the position. For example, an open job in manufacturing may remain vacant because while the potential candidate has the technical skills, they do not have the Workplace Communication skills to effectively engage with the organization. Individuals struggling to find the right job or who are “underemployed”, or not making the career progress that leads to a professionally and financially satisfying career, should take advantage of the $600 million-dollar tuition assistance provide by The National Council of Continuing Education and Training, along with GDA.

The $599 course tuition is waived for anyone who enrolls between now and Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Participants only pay a $10 per course registration fee. Essentials of Workplace Communication takes approximately 26 hours to complete and Consultative Selling takes approximately 34 hours to complete. Both courses will prepare people to be the best candidate for any job. Workforce Development courses will be available to participants through December 31, 2018.
Participants can enroll at www.growthdevelopment.com/labor-day

About NCCET and GDA
