U.S. Military Strike on Caribbean Drug Boat Kills Three
The command, posting on X, said the targeted boat had been flagged by intelligence as operating along established narcotics smuggling corridors. "Intelligence confirmed the vessel was transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Caribbean and was engaged in narco-trafficking operations," the command said on X without providing evidence.
The military reported no casualties on its side. "Three male narco-terrorists were killed during this action. No U.S. military forces were harmed," said the command.
Monday's strike is part of a sharply escalating campaign. The Pentagon has now carried out 44 known strikes against suspected drug-trafficking vessels across the Caribbean and the eastern Pacific since early September — operations that have collectively claimed at least 150 lives.
