Israeli Army Demolishes Buildings in Eastern Gaza
According to witnesses and local sources, the attacks targeted zones under Israeli control in the east, where shelling has intensified in recent weeks. Artillery fire and gunfire continued throughout the day and evening, accompanied by heavy Israeli military movements near the so-called “yellow line”—the boundary Israel withdrew to under the ceasefire, separating fully controlled areas from Palestinian-held zones. Currently, Israel occupies roughly 53% of eastern Gaza.
In the south, three demolition operations were conducted east of Khan Younis, with additional shelling hitting Bani Suheila, Sheikh Nasser, Tahliya, Qizan Rashwan, and Qizan al-Najjar. Israeli forces also fired illumination flares over eastern areas.
Central Gaza saw artillery strikes on eastern sections of the Bureij refugee camp and Deir al-Balah. In the north, eastern Gaza City and surrounding neighborhoods, including Tuffah, Shujaiya, Zeitoun, and Jabalia, were subjected to continuous artillery and gunfire. Buildings were also demolished east of the Tuffah neighborhood.
Israeli naval units fired on tents sheltering displaced Palestinians along the Gaza coast, affecting both Gaza City and northern coastal areas.
