Israel to Charge Air Force Technicians Over Alleged Iran Espionage Case
State broadcaster KAN reported that the individuals serve in the Israeli Air Force as F-15 technicians at Tel Nof Airbase near Ashdod. They are alleged to have engaged in activities described as “assisting the enemy during wartime,” with one suspect potentially facing accusations equivalent to treason.
The report also indicated that eight additional soldiers stationed at the same base are under investigation for allegedly failing to report the suspected activities, despite being aware of them.
According to the same reporting, the suspects were allegedly instructed to gather information on senior Israeli political and military figures, including National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and former Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi.
They are further accused of transferring sensitive material, including technical documents related to Israeli aircraft engine designs and a photograph of a flight instructor.
The case remains under investigation as authorities continue examining the extent of the alleged security breach.
