Trump to Meet Defense Industry Leaders Over Weapons Production Concerns
A media outlet, citing two people familiar with the plans, said Deputy Defense Secretary Stephen Feinberg is also expected to attend the meeting.
One source described the anticipated discussions as potentially “going to be ugly,” pointing to frustration within the administration over the condition of US munitions stockpiles.
The report said the US arsenal has been gradually reduced since the start of military aid shipments to Ukraine following Russia’s 2022 invasion, and has been further strained by airstrikes on Iran last June and an ongoing campaign against Tehran that began earlier this year.
The White House has not publicly confirmed details of the meeting.
