NAVSUP WSS Expands NAVDash to Transform Foreign Military Sales Readiness
Originally engineered for U.S. government civilians and defense contractors managing the Navy’s $200 billion FMS portfolio, NAVDash provides access to the underlying metrics driving operational key performance indicators. Now, the platform is undergoing an evolution to deliver transparency to global allies and frontline program offices.
The International Programs team at WSS set out to provide their international partners and allies access to NAVDash. Over the course of 2025, the FMS team rolled out 12 data visualizations to their partners including Supply Material Availability, Logistics Response Time and Unfilled Customer Orders.
“We talk a lot about working alongside our International Partners and how critical they are to our collective warfighting mission. Yet rarely do we provide them access to the same software and data that our analysts have. Normally it’s sending our Foreign Partners briefings or spreadsheets every month or every quarter,” said Ryan Kirby, NAVSUP WSS Foreign Military Sales Policy and Systems Branch Head.
In 2026 as part of the next phase of expanding NAVDash capability, the team set out to flip the way FMS data is constructed through the Country Readiness Profile.
Historically, FMS financial and logistics data has been cataloged strictly by Country and Case code. The new Country Readiness Profile flips this paradigm, organizing complex enterprise data around the specific weapon system platform.
“Country Readiness Profile will allow Foreign Partners, Case Managers and Program Offices to look at the health of an individual program. For example, anyone supporting the Swiss F-18 program, regardless of their nationality, can go into NAVDash and look at their F-18 program and see tailored visualizations for the specific requirements supporting that program,” said Kirby. “In the past to do this would require data from multiple systems and require knowledge of the active and open FMS Cases and case lines. NAVDash is doing that work automatically and aligning the data for our enterprise to quickly assess the health of our FMS programs.”
This automated integration not only simplifies program oversight for managers but also delivers critical, ground-level utility to international partners.
“NAVDash capability within SCIP provides the SAFR community at NAVSUP with a centralized view of FMS case execution, financial status, and repairable asset activity, enabling personnel to quickly identify issues, monitor performance, and support informed decision-making,” said Warrant Officer Marry Ann Miller, Supply Liaison Officer from the Canadian Forces Logistics Liaison Unit. “By consolidating critical order, funding, and logistics information into a single dashboard, NAVDash improves efficiency, enhances customer support, and strengthens accountability across the FMS supply chain.”
By automating this complex data integration, NAVDash and the Country Readiness Profile shifts from manual tracking to immediate analysis. This capability directly enables the broader upgrade now available to international partners.
